Surfing lessons provide the best induction to what can be a difficult sport.

As a measure of our surfing instructors' success, everyone catches a wave. Lessons can be as formal or informal as you wish within our safety rules.

Our surfing lessons include a wave ski (long, wide, and buoyant), wetsuit and tuition on surfing and water safety. You can then either have a single lessons to start or have a number of lessons spread out over the summer to pick up new skills and get advice on fault correction.
Our surfing instructors are also happy to give unbiased advice on the correct sit on top, wave ski or surf ski, wetsuit or on the local conditions here in Porthcawl.

Waveski surfing has been around for almost 40 years. In the USA Wave skis were initially developed as an adaptation of the Australian surf ski by a group of Huntington Beach lifeguards, including the famous Merv Larson. Wave skiers can be found almost every where in the world that has surf. Currently in Wales there are only a handful of wave skiers, But the sport is once again becoming the latest craze due to the popularity of the "sit on top".
