How do I know which buildings and structures are OK to abseil from?
The potential is huge, whether it is a church, office building, bridge or viaduct etc. Once you have decided on a venue, you will first need to get permission for the event to take place from the owner or Health and Safety Manager. We can help in assisting you with this.
Once this is done, we will ask you for an initial photo from which we can do an initial suitability check. The next step is for an Adventures Wales abseiling technician to visit the site and produce a written risk assessment for the abseil event.
How many people can take part in the abseil event?
For each abseil line setup, we can normally operate 10 people per hour. We will always aim to get the maximum amount of participants abseiling that we possibly can. Multiple abseil lines can be setup to accommodate larger numbers for your event.

Insurance Cover
We are covered for £5,000,000 civil and public liability insurance to cover your abseiling event.
Event Costs
If a site visit is required we charge £250.00 plus travel costs. This includes a written site risk assessment and event method statement.
