Is Gorge Walking Suitable For School Pupils?

Gorge Scrambling or Gorge Walking is a fantastic and safe activity for students and is definitely one of our most popular activity days. We deem our gorge scrambling wales experience suitable for children from 9 years and above.

We run our gorge activities for most levels of abilities, but we ask parents or teachers to first discuss with us any disability issues  so we can assess the suitability or make arrangements on how we can run the session.

This is a great activity that develops students through

Challenging personal fears
Building teamworking skills
Developing self confidence

What do students need to bring for Gorge Walking?

When joining us for our Gorge Walking schools activity days, we ask you to bring along just some simple personal items.

We ask you to try to have your swimwear already on when you arrive for your gorge scrambling day. This makes it easier for you to change into your gorge scrambling wetsuit. You will need also to bring along a towel for drying off after your gorge walking experience.

In addition, we ask all students to bring along a spare pair of shorts that you can wear over the outside of your wetsuit. This allows us to do some amazing bum slides and float downs which are not be missed as part of your gorge walking wales day. For your feet we advise either trainers or walking boots to wear in the river gorge.

  • We had the gorge walking with Adventures Wales event on Saturday for our stag weekend and wanted to say everyone who attended from my group had a great time. Was an excellent event which I believe was in the Brecon Beacons and kept everyone involved the whole time, our gorge walking guide was great and the setting was fantastic. The name of the guide escapes me but please pass on my thanks and this review.
