Are all staff DBS checked and first aid trained?

Yes. Every instructor at Adventures Wales is DBS checked and holds a current first aid certificate. We are AALA (Adventure Activities Licensing Authority) licensed, which means our safety procedures are independently inspected and certified. Risk assessments are available on request.

What age groups do you cater for?

We run programmes for pupils from age 5 upwards. Primary schools typically use The Lodge or Bunkhouse. Secondary and sixth form groups often prefer The Chalets. All activities are scaled to ability and age. We’ll discuss this when we put together your quote.

What’s the minimum and maximum group size?

We can accommodate groups from around 10 pupils up to 220+ in a single visit. Larger year groups are welcome. Contact us and we’ll work out whether to split across multiple activity sessions or use the full bunkhouse capacity.

What’s included in the price?

Your quote will include accommodation, all activity sessions with qualified instructors, all specialist kit and equipment, and catering arrangements. We build the quote around your group so there are no surprises. Travel to our centre is not included.

Where exactly are you based?

We’re based near Porthcawl in South Wales, on the doorstep of the Brecon Beacons National Park and five minutes from the coast. We’re within a 2 to 3 hour drive from London, Bristol, Birmingham and most of the Midlands and South West. Easy to get to by coach.
