When it comes to team building activities in Cardiff and...
A guided 4.3 miles circuit past four spectacular waterfalls. No navigation stress, no getting lost — just you, your group, and a guide who knows every rock pool and canyon wall.
We'll come back to you within a few hours.
Someone from Adventures Wales will be in touch shortly.
Each waterfall has its own character. Your guide will walk you through all four on a 4.3 miles circular route through the hidden Waterfall Country of the Brecon Beacons.
The Afon Mellte disappears clean over a clifftop edge. The path steepens just before you reach it — worth every step.
Smallest of the four but often voted the most charming. A horseshoe of cascading water at the bottom of a black-rocked canyon.
The tallest of the four. The Afon Mellte drops hard to the canyon floor — the sound gets you before the view does.
The main event. Walk behind the waterfall curtain — photographs here are consistently the best of the day.
No surprises. Here's what a typical Four Waterfalls day looks like.
We run walks for everyone from primary school children to corporate teams. The format adapts — the guide knowledge stays the same.
A natural fit for geography, outdoor education and enrichment days. Risk assessment support available. Special group rates — enquire for pricing.
Get people out of the meeting room and into a river canyon. The walk naturally encourages conversation and team cohesion — no awkward icebreakers required.
Already know your way around a map but want to experience the waterfalls properly? A guide adds geological context and local knowledge you won't find on any trail app.
Accessible for all fitness levels. Bring the kids, bring the grandparents. Your guide sets the pace and keeps everyone safe at the tricky bits.
Add a guided waterfall walk to your hen or stag package. Pairs well with a meal out or evening activity in Cardiff or Swansea.
DofE qualifying environment, excellent for outdoor skills development. We've run walks with youth groups of all sizes. Get in touch for a tailored quote.
We recommend bringing waterproof footwear, layers, and lunch or snacks. There are no catering facilities on the route.
"The guide was brilliant — knew every inch of the route and kept our group of 15 together the whole way. The moment you walk behind that last waterfall is genuinely jaw-dropping."Sarah T. — walking group, Cardiff
"We took 28 Year 9 students and Adventures Wales handled everything professionally. The guides kept the kids engaged throughout. Will be booking again next year."Mr Evans — Head of Outdoor Education, South Wales secondary school
"Did this as a corporate day out. Far better than a bowling alley. The walk opened up conversations that three years of team meetings hadn't managed. Book it."James L. — team of 10, Bristol
Yes. The route is accessible for most ages — the majority is flat walking alongside a river. There are a couple of short steep sections and some uneven ground near the waterfalls, but our guides manage the pace and help everyone through the trickier bits. We've run walks with primary school groups and families with young children.
The walk starts at Pontneddfechan car park (postcode SA11 5NR). Full directions are sent on confirmation of booking. There is parking on site.
Waterproof footwear is strongly recommended — the path can be muddy and some sections near the waterfalls are wet underfoot. Bring layers, waterproof jacket, and food and water for the day. There are no shops or cafes on the route.
Yes — we have a long track record of running school and youth group walks and can provide tailored pricing for larger groups. Contact us with your group size and preferred date and we'll put a quote together.
We work with groups of all sizes. For very large groups we typically split into sub-groups each with their own guide. Get in touch and we'll work out the best arrangement.
