Outdoor Adventures in Wales

At Adventures Wales we offer a very wide range of high quality adventure activities to suit all ages and abilities from Schools & College Residential Trips, Stag Weekends to Families and individuals.

Since 2004 we’ve become Specialists in outdoor pursuits activities or now referred to as adventure activities for Family Fun Days, Weekend Breaks, Instructional Courses, Team Building and Schools Activity trips.

We are fortunate to be situated in one of the most amazing locations here in Wales for outdoor adventure activities. Our centre in Porthcawl is only 20 minutes drive minutes from Cardiff or Swansea city centres, with local beaches and the Brecon Beacons (also known as Bannau Brycheiniog) mountains on our doorstep.

We had our boys laser tag party at Adventure Wales and it was absolutely awesome. My boy hasn’t stopped talking about it and I’m pretty sure all his friends really enjoyed too. Rhys was fantastic with all the kids and organised various games to keep the lively hyper littleuns entertained. It was very well organised and already my boy has asked for his party to be there again next year. I cant recommend adventure Wales enough. Absolutely awesome!

We arrange a host of exciting and adrenaline fuelled adventure weekends, family activity days, children’s parties, corporate team building, school activity days and residential weeks, plus stag weekends from £95.00pp in Wales’ capital Cardiff.

Choose from a wide range of activities, packages and facilities including, NCS residential programmes, quad bike tracks, Axe Throwing activities, Surfing Lessons with Adventures Wales, Gorge Walking Days in the Brecon Beacons, on site zip slides and a paintball arena here at our outdoor activity centre in Porthcawl, just a 20 minute drive from Cardiff city centre.

If you need a rest, you can enjoy a coffee and watch the activities from our all weather viewing areas or perhaps from the comfort of our reception lounge with free WiFi access.

How to Find Us from Cardiff

Adventures Wales is based in Porthcawl, just 40 minutes from Cardiff city centre — making us one of the closest outdoor adventure centres to Cardiff.

By car: Take the M4 westbound from Cardiff and leave at Junction 37. Follow signs for Porthcawl (A4229). We are located at Rest Bay, Porthcawl, CF36 5AZ. Free parking is available on site.

By train: Take the train from Cardiff Central to Bridgend (approx. 20 minutes), then a short taxi to Porthcawl (around 15 minutes).

We also welcome groups from Swansea (25 minutes), Bristol (1 hour via M4/Severn Bridge) and beyond.
